Rebecca Minkoff Pre-Fall

The Rebecca Minkoff Pre-Fall collection is exactly how I wished I showed up for work every day.  In a perfect world (where I got up early enough to actually style my hair and put some real thought into my outfit,) this is what I’d wear.  Leather leggings, tasteful prints, pops of color (cyan and Pantone’s color of the year, tangerine…) and don’t you love how (second from left, top row) they managed to match a bag with shoes and still look completely fresh and fun?  I also adored the cropped trench and how it’s voluminous shape offsets the slim lines of the pants.  I learned (source) that she was inspired by Francoise Hardy in the sixties – when straight lines and tough-chic tailoring first became popular.  I’d say she hit a home-run… wouldn’t you?

P.S.  In case you don’t follow me on Instagram, I had to share.. this totally made my day.  I’ve been reading Lucky since it launched ten years ago.  To peel back one of those little stickers and see my blog’s name?  I died… just died.
