Today my sister unveiled her Fall collection, and it’s as beautiful as always! I’m completely in love with each and every piece and have already placed my order with her… hello, my birthday is coming up! (I’m loving this marbled print + these potato prints) This time around, she introduced some new screen print styles – at a new, more affordable price point. The pillows are still produced at the highest quality, using eco-friendly methods (and made in America) but the screening process allows for some cost savings (vs. hand painting.)
The screen printed collection is hand printed at Griswold Textile Print in Rhode Island… using vat dyes that are thickened with gum and water. My sister prefers printing with dye instead of pigment as the finished product feels much softer since the dye bonds with the fabric. Griswold was founded in 1937, is family owned and operated, and uses eco-friendly methods, materials, and disposal. The front of the pillows is cotton-linen, and the reverse is 100% Belgian Linen.
But anyway… today I’m really excited, as my sister has offered to give one lucky S&S reader have TWO of her new Hand Screen Printed Pillows. (You can choose your two favorites, it’s up to a $278 value!) Enter at the bottom of this post… if you read S&S in a feed, you’ll need to click through and enter using the Rafflecopter Widget.
PS – my sister is a finalist in Martha Stewart’s American Made awards… you can vote for her here up to 5x per day… (pretty please?)
