Putting it Together: The Cowl Neck Dress

I love a good cowl neck for Fall.  Comfy, cozy, and perfect for chillier temps.  That said, a chunky cowl can be a little bit difficult to style.  You can’t really layer it or the neckline will bunch… and you need to keep accessories relatively simple as the larger neckline can be a little bit overpowering.  I love this one from Old Navy, and opted to style it with a mostly monochromatic palette – save for an amazing pair of boots in this season’s color.   To add a little personality / interest, I recommend adding an armful of bangles and simple stud earrings (drop earrings would snag on the neckline.)  This look would be absolutely perfect to wear to work on a chilly day… or for a stroll through the farmer’s market (while sipping hot cider, of course.)
