It seems like everywhere I look, people are raving about Moroccan Oil’s hair products.
I’ve gotten a bit skeptical of frizz-fighting products and their multiple claims. Everyone promises the sun, and most of them don’t deliver. Besides, I’d finally found a product combination I liked, and wasn’t ready to give it up. (Prior to trying Moroccan Oil, I was hooked on a combo of Blow’s Weathergirl serum and Tress Relief leave-in conditioner.)
Still, it seemed like every blog, salon, or fellow beauty addict-friend I knew of was raving about this stuff, so I was intrigued and decided to give it a try.
FYI, Moroccan Oil is made from Argan Oil, a super-rich emollient. (Disclaimer: It’s not 100% Argan Oil, but it’s a blend of the oil plus silicons. I was a bit put off after finding this out as their marketing materials give you the impression that it is all oil… no, it’s actually mostly silicon.)
I’ve been using the oil treatment for about a month, and I’m 100% hooked. I put a quarter sized amount* in my hand, rub my hands together, and then run my hands through my wet hair, thoroughly saturating my hair in the product. And then, I don’t touch it. My hair dries silky smooth and is so much more manageable than usual. I didn’t even need to use mousse or cream to seal the ends/tame pouffiness. This stuff is pretty much life-changing… or at least a game changer in my product arsenal.
An added bonus? It smells delicious, and cuts drying time by a third.
*Disclaimer – my hair is long, thick and naturally wavy – you probably need less.
