I had been dying to try CoverGirl’s Smoky Shadow Blast for months now but kept forgetting to pick one up at the drugstore. It sounded like just the perfect product for me… I like to play up my eyes for a big night out, but I’m not exactly a pro when it comes to applying make up. And that’s an understatement… at 28, I’m really just now “getting” eyeliner, and still, there are times when I overdo it or end up with more on one eye than the other… terrible.
There are 8 shades available… I chose what is probably the safest combo – Bronze Fire… a shimmery beige, paired with a deep bronze-y brown.
One end is a round stick of a creamy (paler shade) that you are supposed to apply generously (all the way up to the brow bone if you are feeling daring…I just apply to the lid.) The other end is an angled (and incredibly easy to use!) stick of a darker color…. thicker than an eyeliner pen so its easy to create a thick, smoky line.
I would highly recommend this product. It dumbed down the process of creating a smoky eye and was incredibly easy to use. On top of that it stayed on all night and wasn’t at all irritating. Looks like CoverGirl has done it again.
