Is there anything better than spending a day at the pool, reading? Maybe a day at the beach… I am more of a beach girl, but there’s something nice about having everything you need nearby (and when I say “everything,” what I really mean is cute waiters with frosty drinks). Lydia and I spent a relaxing afternoon by the pool at our hotel last Tuesday afternoon and it was everything. She wandered off to take some photos and I started to read my book but fell asleep in minutes.
Right now, I’m reading a book called Sunday’s on the Phone to Mondays. The author, Christine Reilly, actually reads here (so cool!) and reached out to send me a copy. I’m about halfway through. It’s the story of a young couple who meets in New York in the early eighties and follows them (+ their three daughters) as they raise a family up through modern day. It’s really beautifully written – I’m really enjoying it!
Also, I got quite a few questions on social media about how J.Crew’s swim sizing runs. I find that J.Crew’s swim is probably the most true-to-size of any swimwear brand I’ve shopped. I am always a size medium. Always. In their clothing I am sometimes a small, sometimes a medium.. in their dresses I am either a 4 or 6… but their swimwear (at least for me!) is always consistent! Just wanted to mention that here.

Are those shoes comfy? Because they are THE CUTEST
They are actually SO comfy! Tying them takes a bit of patience as you have to make sure all of the stars lay flat… but really, they are very comfy once you get ’em on. Highly recommend!
