Hi from Cape Cod! It’s so nice to be home for a whole week. Sun, sea, and lots of family time… there really isn’t anything better.
If there is one classic accessory that a) looks good with everything and b) looks good on everyone, and c) won’t go out of style, it’s a great pair of black sunglasses. Today I am styling a pair of Polaroid’s new Twist Sunglasses, which (between the oversized Wayfarer-esque silhouette + all black frame + lense) make me feel a bit like a movie star. They come in a bunch of great colors (I love how my friend Christine styled the same style in pink here) but I opted for classic black. And this pair is very cute as well (and comes in several more colors… including green and blue).
I hadn’t been very familiar with Polaroid’s eyewear prior to working on this project, but I was immediately impressed with the lightweight, flexible rubber frames. The rubber is soft and durable, and they hold up – it would be hard to break them which is important to me as I can be a bit (very) hard on my things. I brought them home with me this week and love that they are chic but also very practical.
Outfit Details: Anthropologie Blouse // Old Navy Shorts // J.Crew Sandals (old but similar) // Chanel Quilted Mini 2.55 Bag (Vintage) // BaubleBar Pisa Cuff // Maybelline Lipstick (color is Orange Shot) // Polaroid Twist Sunglasses (c/o)
Fun fact for you – I always think of the instant camera when I think of Polaroid, but the company has been making sunglasses for 75 years now! They were the original polarized sunglasses, and their sunglasses contain the highest level of of UV protection possible (this is v-e-r-y important to me… ever since hitting thirty, those fine lines around my eyes seem to get a little bit more pronounced every year!) You can check out the full lineup right this way, at Dillards.com.

I had no idea Polaroid made sunglasses, let alone for 75 years! So cool. These are really nice!
Even though your style is much more different from mine, I love the way you combine all of your outfits and you always have some of the cutest pieces of clothes on. 🙂

I also didn’t know they made sunglasses. And for that long too?! They’re nice. Simple and versatile 🙂 Remind me of my Ralph Lauren ones in that aspect.

These sunnies are so cute and what a fun fact! I have this top too and styled it last time we were in Charleston against the pretty lemon yellow wall of the Mills house :). Love it paired with the gingham shorts!
