Parker Beaded Dress in Charleston.

Parker makes the best beaded dresses. I wore this one to a party in Charleston and got so many compliments on it. I love the blush color, the ornate details, and I really like that it has sleeves – they make it feel a little more wearable for less formal events as opposed to something sleeveless. It’s like, yes, it’s a beaded dress but since it has sleeves it’s less formal/fancy? I paired it with these fluffy sandals (my fav) and my cute little Gucci bag.

I hope you guys had a good weekend! Mine was nice. It was the perfect mix of having fun and seeing friends while also being productive. I had a fun night out with my friend Natalie on Friday. Our favorite restaurant (Navy – so sad!) is closing so we had dinner there and then went to Raoul’s and then The Flower Shop (such a fun bar!). On Saturday I spent the day out in Brooklyn taking measurements at my new apartment (and exploring my new ‘hood!) and then met up with Jenn and her husband for drinks at Soho House, followed by dinner with two of my close girlfriends at Gemma (alllll of the carbs!). Busy, busy!!! I am getting so excited about my new apartment. I made my first purchase over the weekend (this bedWest Elm is having a pretty good sale!) and have been pinning up a storm as I decide exactly what I want to do. It’s so exciting!

That dress is gorgeous! And the sandals are absolutely amazing. And you’re right, the sleeves make it less formal and the trenchcoat definitely gave it a more casual vibe as well.

That dress is gorgeous – & sadly so far out of my budget that I think I winced when I clicked through to the price! Ah, a girl can dream… & live vicariously through fashion bloggers!

Crazy question – did you change the buttons on your trench coat? I loved the light tortoiseshell ones and was actually looking for something similar but I think Burberry only makes them with black buttons now.

That dress is amazing, by the way – perfect to wear to a spring wedding/party!

Haha no…. I miss mine with light tortoise buttons. My original one was actually stolen so I bought a new one about two years ago (with the black buttons). You have a really good memory, and you are right about the light tortoiseshell buttons!!! I miss my old one so much!!!

And thanks for the kind words!

Wow, that’s horrible that someone stole it. I only noticed because I was searching through your old outfit posts to see how you styled it because I have been wanting to buy one and am finally ready to pull the trigger. I guess I’ll have to settle for the black buttons too since it seems they don’t make the tortoiseshell anymore. Thanks for responding, Grace!

          I know :-/

One quick thought is that you might want to look at vintage / consignment sites and ebay if you are really committed to the buttons. I thought about swapping mine to tortoiseshell but then they wouldn’t be the original Burberry buttons. Maybe the RealReal, Vestiare Collective, sites like that? I’ve bought bags and shoes from them and they’re always in top notch condition. I haven’t looked at trenches but it is just a thought! Maybe we can petition Burberry in the meantime 😉
