As you know from the past few weeks, I am just obsessed with French Style – and the book, Parisian Chic, by Ines de la Fressange. One of my favorite parts of the book is Chapter Two, The Not-so-Basics. She refers to these pieces as the “Magnificent Seven.” The non-negotiable items that everyone must own, the essentials to chic, Parisian Style. And so, I started a series around these items. We’ve already conquered the first six… the blazer, the classic trench, navy sweater, the tank top, the little black dress, and the leather jacket. I’m a little bit sad because today is the last day of this series… but today, we conquer the perfect pair of jeans!
Nothing makes you feel better than a great pair of jeans. You can dress them up, dress them down… and the perfect pair will make you feel ten pounds thinner. It takes time to find the right ones, but once you do… you know. For me, 7 for all Mankind never seems to let me down. I also like Gap, J.Brand, and DL 1961.
