As you know from the past few weeks, I am just obsessed with French Style – and the book, Parisian Chic, by Ines de la Fressange. One of my favorite parts of the book is Chapter Two, The Not-so-Basics. She refers to these pieces as the “Magnificent Seven.” The non-negotiable items that everyone must own, the essentials to chic, Parisian Style. I thought it would be fun to do a little series around each of these items. We’ve already conquered the first four items… the blazer, the classic trench, navy sweater, and the tank top. Today, we conquer my personal favorite: the little black dress.
The little black dress is such an important staple for any closet. I have far too many of them, but love them each like children. A jersey wrap, a slinky black sheath… an asymmetrical little number for date night, a t-shirt dress… I could go on… they are all very important – I would be lost without them! Here are a few of my favorites… plus some styling/shopping tips!
