Parisian Style, Part 4: The Tank Top.

As I mentioned here last week, I am just obsessed with French Style – and the book, Parisian Chic, by Ines de la Fressange.  One of my favorite parts of the book is Chapter Two, The Not-so-Basics.  She refers to these pieces as the “Magnificent Seven.”  The non-negotiable items that everyone must own, the essentials to chic, Parisian Style.  I thought it would be fun to do a little series around each of these items.  We’ve already conquered the first three items… the blazer, the classic trench, and the navy sweater.  Today we move on to the tank top!

At first, I thought… tank top?  Boring!  Then, I thought again.  A great tank is the perfect foundational piece.  Your fanciest, favorite, most fun pieces aren’t going to look good… unless you have a great basic tank (like the options below,) to pair with them and let them shine.
