As I mentioned here last week, I am just obsessed with French Style – and the book, Parisian Chic, by Ines de la Fressange. One of my favorite parts of the book is Chapter Two, The Not-so-Basics. She refers to these pieces as the “Magnificent Seven.” The non-negotiable items that everyone must own, the essentials to chic, Parisian Style. I thought it would be fun to do a little series around each of these items. We’ve already conquered the first two items… the blazer and the classic trench. Today, we move on to the third… the navy sweater.
To be honest, I thought the navy sweater was an odd (and rather specific) choice, at first. Then I thought about how crisp and elegant a navy sweater can look against black pants or denim, and thought better of it. I actually do not (yet) own a classic navy sweater. It is now (very high) on my shopping list.
