Paris, Part Three: Montmartre

On our second (and last) full day in Paris, we headed to Montmartre.  If you don’t know it, Montmartre is one of my favorite places in Paris.  Way up on a hill, in the 18th arrondissement, it is truly something special – in my opinion, one of the most romantic places in the world.  Outdoor cafes, cobblestone streets, tiny bakeries and cafes… it’s Paris at it’s finest.

We wandered around hand in hand… had a scrumptious lunch of onion soup, croque monsieur (basically the most delicious thing ever – a grilled ham & cheese, with more cheese… melted on top,) and mussels with fries… bought macarons and a few gifts for friends… it was one of the best ways a person could possibly spend an afternoon… even in Paris!

More… after the break.
