Despite being more of a behind the scenes kind of girl, I thought it would be fun to start doing a few outfit posts here and there – primarily so that you can see how I style my DIY projects. This is how I wore my ombre jeans (and an armful of DIY’d bracelets) for a work day. I like dressing them up with simple, tailored pieces… in this case, a blazer and heels to keep the look from becoming overly casual. Granted, I work for a start-up so pretty much anything goes, but I still try to look pulled together. On the weekend I’ll wear these with a slouchy tank like this and casual sandals like these.
{Urban Outfitters blazer (old – this one is very similar,) American Apparel Tee (I live in these.)
DIY Jeans, Sam Edelman Heels, gifted Rebecca Minkoff bag, BaubleBar Monogram Necklace, Chanel Sunglasses
We’ll talk about the jewelry below.}
{Let’s just talk about this skull ring. She was a gift, from Plukka. I love her so much.
The little rings are BaubleBar and Catbird.}
{A whole lot of wrist action going on, here…
Left: BaubleBar (coming soon,) Cartier, Eddie Borgo, DIY (see tutorial here!) and BaubleBar
Right: Watch, DIY (refer to Monday’s tutorial, here!) and BaubleBar}
You are so cute! I really think I need these pants in my life. My mom used to be big into tie dying back in the 80’s… maybe I can rope her into helping me.
You should try it – promise, it’s really not very hard at all and the results are so fun!!
The cutest!! Totally love these pants and how you styled them. Amazing arm action going on! PS: Love those AA tees but guess what?! The lack of cleavage makes the V way too low. Haha. Much cuter on you. 🙂 Happy Friday! xo
Thanks, Alyson! I know that AA has a crewneck version of the tee, too – you gotta try it!! Or try sizing down – that always helps too 🙂 xox
Those jeans are so fun! Love the way you styled them.
