I’m really lucky in that my mom has some pretty amazing treasures in her closet that she has generously passed down to me. A prime example would be this vintage fur that belonged to her grandmother. I love it, so much. The thing about a dramatic fur stole like this is that it can be hard to wear in “real life.” It’s beautiful, but not always the most practical thing for everyday wear. I decided to challenge myself to use the fur to dress up my usual (far more casual) look. I paired it with a cozy sweatshirt (new fave), velvet jeans, and pretty heels. The result is a fun mixture of cozy and elegant.

I love that fur is trending right now so it gives us a perfect reason to wear something that, you’re right, can be hard to wear in our everyday lives! I have a fur stole from a Halloween costume when I was little that I can’t seem to track down.
Love the fur! It’s so great to have items in your closet that have so much history, beautiful story!
