Outdoor Season!

Outdoor Season

Outdoor Season

One of the things that really drew me to my home was the outdoor area. It is really special. When I saw the outdoor fireplace and the fountain the wheels started turning, immediately dreaming up summer gatherings and laid back nights spent outdoors. Now with the pool (more to come there once the landscaping is finished!), I want to be outside pretty much every non-working second. It’s just so wonderful to have an outdoor space of my own… especially having lived in apartments for so long. A happy spot to entertain OR a quiet spot to read. It’s wonderful either way!

Today, I thought I would round up a few of my favorite outdoor essentials. From my cute little grill to pool safe plates and glassware (I try to be a stickler about not ever having glass near the pool!) to the best ways (like these chic incense!) to keep bugs at bay… there’s a lot to share!

PS – These photos were before power washing and landscaping. 🙂

PPS – I do still miss my little Brooklyn patio. It was a cute spot. I don’t miss the tomato thieves!

Outdoor Season little grill

I love my little grill. Every guy in my life (dad, boyfriend, brother-in-law, friends!) teases me about it and I know, it’s a little cutesy (which I also like) but it does the job without taking up a ton of space or needing gas. I really like that it is electric and not too complicated to use. Also this brush is the best for cleaning it.

Outdoor Season essentials

I bought these chairs from the old owners of the house. They are Brown Jordan but a discontinued style. And then the cushions were custom made using a Thibaut fabric. I really love them. Also: these blue & white chinoiserie stools were an Amazon gem. Currently sold out but they have lots of similar options.

Nothing makes me happier than when my little garden is looking lush and tidy (which is rare in our wild southern climate). I love to sit outside and read surrounded by greenery with everything freshly watered. Enjoy your new space!
