Annnd, it’s already the end of November – crazy! I tried a lot of new products this month (and found myself reaching for a few old favorites…) here were the products that made the cut for this month’s beauty edit.
- Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Conditioner: Are you using dry conditioner yet? Might be something you want to try. I really love this. I notice that when I’m on day four or five of a blowout (and am using dry shampoo for my roots), my ends start to feel a little dry. The dry conditioner helps fix this… leaving my ends soft + silky, just as if I’d used conditioner that morning.
- SK-II Limited Edition Bottle: You know by now that I live for SK-II’s treatment essence. After cleansing, I apply a few drops to the palm of my hand and then use my fingers to gently pat it into my skin before moisturizing. It’s proven to help prevent the skin from aging with continued use… and in the short-term it leaves skin glowing and improves texture.
- Serge Normant Meta Velour Conditioner: This is my favorite conditioner right now. It turns your hair into silk. The formula is extra thick and super hydrating (great for those of us with dry hair.) Sidenote: I hear Blake Lively is a fan!
- Alterna Kendi Oil: I forgot how much I love this hair oil until the bottle was nearly gone! This smooths flyaways and adds shine + hydration to hair… and smells incredible (as do all Alterna products) without weighing hair down.
- Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioner in Bang Bang. I forgot to pack lipstick when I was in Portland, so I ended up buying two of these (one for me, one for my sister) and forgot how much i love Ilia’s tinted lip conditioners. The formula is somewhere between a lipstick and a lip balm. More pigmented than lip balm but still super hydrating. It’s all natural and you can use a little or a lot to subtly build the pigment.
- DreamDry’s Little Black Box: This is designed to give you the DreamDry experience at home. It contains their new dryer, turban, and detangling comb… promising for the perfect blow out in half the time.
- Ling Skincare Vitamin K Treatment: I’ve gotten a few amazing facials at Ling Skincare in Union Square (go… and get the Energy Lift treatment!) and they’ve gotten me hooked on the Vitamin K treatment for red spots. I apply this to my cheeks and around my nose to target redness and broken capillaries. It’s very soothing and hydrating and has definitely helped with redness!
- Earth tu Face Skin Stick: This little guy is all natural and perfect for healing rough spots, chapped lips, anywhere your skin feels dry, tight, or itchy. Beeswax locks in moisture and geranium fades scarring.
- Benefit’s Fine One One: This is one of those products I find myself forgetting about and rediscovering over and over again. I love it. It makes applying blush a cinch.. all in one quick sweep!
- Tata Harper Elixir Vitae: I will admit that I don’t know if this treatment actually paralyzes the muscles in your face (a la Botox) but it feels like it does. And after using this treatment morning and night for a month, my skin is noticeably smoother and firmer. Tata Harper is the only brand (to my knowledge) that does anti-aging products the completely non-toxic/all natural way… this is the creme de la creme!
- Earth tu Face Hydrate + Nourish: Every winter, this becomes one of my must-have, go-to beauty products. Besides the fact that it smells incredible (good enough to eat… and you could eat it if you wanted to, since it’s all-natural) The line was created by two CA herbalists and this cream cotnains the highest quality Virgin Coconut Oil, soothing Cocoa Butter, and Vitamin E. No matter how dry your skin gets, this will fix it!
I was curious if the dry shampoo and conditioner makes your hair feel like powder. I’ve just used baby powder before if I’d put too much oil in my hair. Does the dry shampoo build up or do you not use it daily?
hi cathleen! no, they don’t!!!
I don’t use dry shampoo daily (i’d use it MAX twice between washes as it does build up), but if you use a good one it won’t feel powdery. I really love Klorane’s dry shampoo, along with Serge Normant’s dry conditioner to add some shine/softness to my ends. 🙂
Thank you, Grace. I’ll have to give them a try. 🙂
The Alterna Kendi oil seems like a worthwhile purchase…Happy Thanksgiving 🙂

Love the Ilia tinted lip conditioner, too! Would recommend!
