November 2017 Beauty Favorites!

Today we are trying something a little different! I wanted to start a series of monthly beauty favorites where we just have an honest conversation about my favorite products from the month. And what pairs better with beauty chit chat than a glass of wine?! So I set up the camera, plopped down with my favorites from this month, poured one of my favorite red wines, and just TALKED!

I’m planning to make this a monthly series… what do we think? We’ll open up some good wine, and just chat! This was fun to film, I hope you enjoy it. As always, let me know if you have any questions at all.

Hi Grace! I love your blog and look forward to reading it every morning. Unfortunately, since I read it at work I have to miss out on your video content! I’m on my computer all day at work so when I get home I really don’t spend time online (something I know you can relate to). I know that video content is the new wave and I’m sure your videos are great, but I just wanted to leave a comment in defense of written posts. Thanks for all your great work : )

Hi Leah! Thanks for this! I hear you. I post one video a week, out of between 7-12 written posts as I often post twice day. They are a TON of work and frankly way harder than written posts (I prefer writing, but filming and editing these challenge me in a way that is exciting and fun), but yes, video is the future so it’s important for me (and my business!) to stay current and change (slightly, haha – we’re only talking one post a week) with the times. I have lots and lots of other beauty posts, but this particular series needs to be a video so that I can talk/have more of a conversation!

All of that being said, a second post will be up today – Kelly’s sharing her under $100 morning essentials! Hope you understand!

Honestly I wish I could just read about it all. I can’t watch vids longer than 3 mins. I can see that’s what the blogs are pushing towards now. Maybe I’m just too old!

I hear you! And I feel old too!

That being said I feel like there’s a real opportunity here for video in two ways: one to show you things (travel!!!) so much better than photos. The other is to chat more conversationally about beauty. I’m only doing this series once a month, and as I told a reader above, it’s one most out of 7-12 per week as I often post twice a day. I hope you’ll give them a chance as I’m so proud of the content I’ve been creating on video!

That being said, for next month I will include mini descriptions of each one – I just want to encourage folks to watch the video as it’s so nice to be able to just chat a little more conversationally!

I recently left my straightener at a hotel in Charleston and bought the T3! Glad you like yours – I’m still trying to figure it out!
