I pretty much live in my navy peacoat. It’s either that or my long camel coat this time of year.
I bought this one at J.Crew four, maybe five years ago and it was such a great investment. It’s super warm, always looks fresh and in style, and the thick wool fabric is amazing quality. Like my camel coat, it will never go out of style – it’s definitely a classic! J.Crew doesn’t make this one anymore but I linked to several very similar options down below. My favorite would probably be the one from L.L. Bean. Their coats last forever and the silhouette is very classic. For a coat like this, you don’t want something too trendy. I styled it with my usual favorite… bright pops of red.
I don’t know what is wrong with me as I have another stomach bug. I was sick yesterday and Monday. This sounds crazy but I think I may be allergic to movie theater popcorn. Every time I have it I feel a little sick… and that was the last thing I ate before I started to feel completely awful! Ugh. Is that weird?? The older I get, the more sensitive my stomach gets. I’m sticking to the BRAT diet for the rest of the week… bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. And lots of fluids. I will tell you this: I spent the better part of yesterday watching The Bachelor. I’ve only seen one season of The Bachelor/Bachelorette… I made an exception to my no reality-TV rule a few years ago to watch the season with Ali Fedotowsky as Chris Lambton (the guy who came in second place) is a friend from high school. I have to say, it was pretty entertaining. I think I am going to have to keep watching. It may be my new guilty pleasure. Also – Corinne… I can’t. She is 24 and has a nanny? What!? So confused. I feel old, guys.
But anyway, sick or not sick, life goes on and I can’t spend today watching TV. This morning I am speaking on a panel to a bunch of retailers with ShopStyle (my affiliate network) alongside Kat + Krystal. Public speaking is something I’m working at – I get so nervous but I say yes to most of the opportunities I receive as it is a skill I really want to improve upon. After that, I have a photo shoot. And then more rest and a little work. But anyway, I hope you have a nice little Wednesday. And if you are watching The Bachelor too… let’s talk about it! Do any of you have nannies? 😉
Outfit Details: J.Crew Coat (4 years old but this, this, this, and this are all just as classic + similar) // Glamorous Cold Shoulder Sweater // 7 for all Mankind Jeans (love this pair too) // BP Trolley Boots // Red Beanie // Grana Cashmere Scarf // Otte Bag // Celine Sunglasses // Ben-Amun x The Stripe Necklace
I love this cold shoulder sweater. I rarely buy trendy clothing in the winter, but this trend is kind of fun! This one is only $65 which makes it feel a little okay to experiment. I also love this cold shoulder turtleneck and this ribbed v-neck… both under $100!
