Remember this post, where I shared my new mattress (and unboxing experience) from Cocoon by Sealy? Well. I am loving my new mattress (seriously such an upgrade)… and excited to share a little bedroom reveal with you today! And by bedroom, I mean my lofted bed inside my studio apartment. We can use the word “room” looselly.
I like my bed to feel like a calming oasis. A retreat… or even, a “cocoon,” if you will… 😉 The city can feel so overwhelming at times, so it’s important for me to have my bed feel like a place where I can go to unwind and really unplug. I have always gravitated towards a blue + white color palette (it’s so soothing), and I try to make sure that I always have pretty little details nearby to further add to that element of relaxation. Fresh flowers, my favorite candle… it’s the little details that matter most.
Add to that a stack of books (always – I am usually reading at least two or three books at a time), and a comfy sleep mask to block out light (I sleep SO much better when I wear mine.)
I like to mix and match textures and details to create something a little bit eclectic. Sticking to the same color palette keeps things feeling calm and inviting though. My duvet is washed linen, my sheets have a really pretty blue lace detail, and my quilt is block-printed which lends a more bohemian vibe. (Links to everything at the bottom of the post.)
In case you missed the last post, Cocoon by Sealy is Sealy’s approach to the Mattress in a Box. The mattress arrives in the mail and easily unpacks… I’m still so shocked that my mattress fits inside that (relatively!) small box!!
PS – a fun treat from the Sealy team… If you purchase your own Cocoon by Sealy mattress, enter code STRIPES50 at checkout, to receive a $50 cash gift card with purchase. Effective 5/12/16 through 5/31/16!

We’re going to be in the market for a new mattress here soon and I’m so tempted to try one of these! I’ve watched a few videos of similar mattresses unboxing and it’s crazy to me how they get them in there. Your little oasis looks perfect!
Love your little cozy space!

you are hte cutest! I love your space.
Gorgeous space! I love my loft too.
What a beautiful space! I love those lace sheets.
love it!!! your sister’s pillows are the greatest.
It looks really sweet and cozy. How do you get Tyrian to not eat the flowers? I bought my kitty, Minnie( Mouse) her own cat grass, which she will not eat, but every time I have fresh flowers in the house, she is chewing on them! She is still a kitten at 9 months.
Haha, that is so funny! You know, Tyrion doesn’t want to eat anything besides his own food. He has no interest in flowers, plants, my food, my drinks… except maybe water. That being said, all of my things (jewelry, pens, beauty products) are toys to him!
is that also some biscuit bedding I see??
it is!!! love it 😉
LOVE your bedroom! XO
Love the blue and white with a splash of pink. Very nice space! Enjoy your weekend!
What a dreamy little nook, it must be even harder to get out of bed in the mornings.
