My Favorite Stripe T-Shirts.

It’s no secret that I love a great stripe t-shirt. I mean, I named my blog The Stripe. This is not new news. Still, finding a great striped tee can actually be sort of hard. A lot of them are too boxy. Also, I like my stripe tees long and lean (or at least long) so that I can tuck them into my jeans. There’s nothing wore than a too short striped tee (unless you’re built like Audrey Hepburn). It can cut you all wrong and just ends up unflattering. Same goes with too tight. Just bad.

The other issue is fabric. I like my stripe tees loose and flowy (like this one) or to be made from a more structured fabric like a french terry or even a sweatshirt material. Loose and flowy is easy to do. Just go up a couple sizes. I’m wearing a size large in this Saint James tee (I’m usually a small or a medium in most brands) and the fit is perfect. I’ve also bought striped tees in the plus-size department. Besides being loose, plus size clothing is usually cut pretty long so the fit is perfection.

My Favorite Stripe T-Shirts

My personal favorite brands for striped tees are Saint James and Kule. I have also have done really well with Talbot’s (this is a really good one and any of their “bateau” tees are always great). They’re one of my “secret spots” for great t-shirts). In addition, I love T by Alexander Wang (these run bigger by the way. The small is baggy on me). Below I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite striped tees… as well as some fun accessories that pair especially well with stripes!

I agree, it’s so hard to find striped tops that aren’t boxy! I usually get my form-fitting ones at a shop called Cotton On (do you guys have that in the US?). Lifesaver! 🙂

I love near the Tuckernuck store and I can’t wait to try on all their striped tees in person. I personally like a fitted look that isn’t boxy, which can be hard to find, especially without trying it on!
Thank you for all the recommendations, I particularly love all the red

Love this collage/layout! I love product roundups but it can be hard to picture any one item as part of an outfit — thanks for doing that work for me! 😉

You’re so right, sometimes finding the right t-shirt can be so hard!! I hate it when they look boxy and aren’t flattering. Love these suggestions!

Love your blog and absolutely love everything striped. Quick size question for reference- if you don’t mind, how tall are you? Trying to gauge sizes! Thanks so much.
