First of all, this post is going to sound a little sponsored bc I’m so fanatical about this brand. It’s not: I wasn’t paid, nor gifted, or even given a discount on any of this… I’m just obsessed and want to shout to the heavens about these items. The real driver here was that I moderated an Eileen Fisher fashion show when I was home on Cape Cod and I went home and placed a big order.
I remember when I was younger and I thought of the brand as old and matronly. Oh how things have changed, especially with how much I flew this summer. I alluded to having a “travel uniform” in this post but I used to always travel (for long flights) in leggings and a hoodie. There is nothing wrong with that, but what if you could find something that looks polished but feels just as comfortable as sweats?
On top of that the brand is completely employee owned AND they’ve donated over $8 million dollars to charity.
I have four pieces from the brand that I rotate between when I’m in transit: what I’m wearing in this post and like to think is a little Audrey Hepburn (this simple shell tank and these slim pants), and two other pieces: this silky tee and these wide legged crop pants. It’s simple and easy, they all mix + match, and they’re all machine washable (just hang dry!) SO much better than sweats! I’m wearing the shell and slim pants in this post but mix things up every time. I will say that everything runs pretty big. I’m a small in her pants and an XS in her tops and come on, I’m not an XS in anything!!
Outfit Details: Eileen Fisher Shell // Eileen Fisher Slim Fit Pants // Vince Sneakers // Eileen Fisher Coat // Vintage Chanel Purse // Krewe Sunglasses
On top of that (literally?) there is also this Eileen Fisher coat.
This coat was a part of the fashion show and I died for it. It’s so soft and so chic – the perfect Fall jacket. Again, it runs very large – I’m wearing an XS. You could totally wear heels with this outfit but I went with my trusty Vince sneaks for a sportier look. They’re the best.

I actually really like your outfit. I’m looking for fashion inspo for my upcoming trip to Paris, and I might just copy this look! 😉 Love how you combined casual pants with a sleek trench coat. 🙂

Thanks Charmaine!!! Enjoy Paris!!! xx
So, so chic! I almost always travel in a loose t-shirt or breton top + loose boyfriend jeans (that I will change to leggings once I’m on-board a long-haul flight) and a big cashmere scarf, but I think I need to switch to pants like this (or at the risk of sounding like the most obnoxious person ever, cashmere leggings for long-haul). Have never bought anything from Eileen Fisher but now going to hunt them down in the UK asap!

Yesssss cashmere pants sound amazing. I need some! XOXO
Will let you know when I find *the* ones!

YES PLEASE DO!
I’m obsessed with this jacket, Grace! This is the perfect travel outfit, and also a great weekend errands look!
The Champagne Edit
Thank you so much Dana! I’m obsessed.
Love this post! My mom has always worn Eileen Fisher, and so while I always loved a lot of the clothing (on my mom), I too thought of the brand as “older” and more “matronly” (even though my mom always looked great in the clothes!). I just moved back to NY to start a new job in Manhattan this month, and felt like I needed to revamp some of my work wardrobe…I ended up buying a few Eileen Fisher pieces, as they were everything I was looking for! Chic, easy to wear, comfortable but classic and classy, MACHINE WASHABLE, and on top of all that, they are a great company — as you said, charitable, and also really involved in making sure they are promoting women, aware of slavery and trafficking, green and good for the planet…the clothing is definitely expensive, but I feel GOOD giving my money to a company like Eileen Fisher. Best of all, they will take back their pieces to recycle once you feel you have worn them out! I love that another young woman loves their clothing! Thanks for promoting them!
And oh my gosh…I think I might have to have that coat!
It’s the machine washable thing that really gets me.
But you are right – besides all of the great things about the clothes, they are an amazing company. I like feeling like I’m supporting companies and brands who are making good decisions and I always feel good shopping at EF.
(The coat is everything. It’s not cheap but it’s the best thing in my closet right now!!!)
Finally bit the bullet and spent some $$ on an Eileen Fisher interview outfit. High waisted pants with a bow tie waist for personality and a white tank. I am OBSESSED. You’ve created a monster
Ahhhhh I love it!!! At least you are a fashionable monster? Ha 😉 https://thestripe.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php#comments-form
Now will be tuning into Eileen Fisher’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales to try to catch some of this on sale. Currently wearing an old EF linen shirt I got at a thrift shop in Maine this summer, it’s the best.
Oooh that’s so smart! Their clothes are so fab and they LAST AND LAST AND LAST!!! xoxo
you look gorgeous! that was such a fun night!
It was so much fun 🙂 xoxo
