YOU GUYS, it’s party dress season!
During a recent Q&A someone asked me how I feel about the minimalist trend. My answer? It’s great! But… probably not for me. Honestly, I am a maximalist. Make no mistakes: I’m not wasteful… I only buy things (or accept gifts for that matter) that I see myself really hanging onto… if you read my weekly outfit diaries you probably see that! BUT I do have a lot of stuff, and I like it that way. I have a full rack in my closet just dedicated to party dresses, sequins, and my grandmother’s old furs. I love these things so much.
Admittedly, I probably have more of a “need” for all of these party dresses between living in New York (I probably get dressed up at least once or twice a week for a fancy dinner or cocktail party- everyone starts to get really dressed up this time of year!) and all of the podcast live shows!
Most of my party dresses are a few years old but I will usually add one or two new ones to my closet every year. (LOVE the dress I’m wearing in these photos, a gift from the Gal Meets Glam team, and I bought this one on major sale for our New York live show.) I can’t stop thinking about this Rixo dress but it’s way more money than I want to spend… I desperately want it to go on sale!

Thanks, Charmaine!
So gorg as always, friend!
Thank you Jenn!!!
You should check out Lulu’s for party dresses. They have great inclusive sizing for lots of dresses, and it is so affordable. Just bought a sequin mini dress for a cocktail event.
Thanks for the suggestion!
