My Favorite Activewear.

My Favorite Activewear

I have been on a bit of a fitness kick. The Peloton has really helped me get back in a routine with running (I love the classes, and having a treadmill in my home means no excuses — so often it would be too late/too hot/too cold/too dark/too rainy, etc.). I try to do something Peloton every day (the streak really gets me)… running on the tread 4x a week and doing short yoga or stretching classes on the other days (also, the restorative yoga is so good before bedtime!). I really like it. The app is great as well, you don’t need the treadmill. (And if you use it, you can follow me there @graceatwood and join our #TheStripe community channel!). Along with that, I still see my trainer a couple days a week for weights and personal accountability.

Anyway, my favorite way to reward fitness goals has always been new workout gear! Today I wanted to share a few favorite brands and pieces.

My Favorite Activewear

VUORI

I have highlighted this brand again and again and just love everything they make. Simple basics that last forever. Start with the joggers (the best) and this cropped tank. Runs TTS, I wear a medium.

ELECTRIC & ROSE

This is a new favorite brand. I love their sets. If I am taking a class or meeting a friend to work out I will wear something from them to feel just a little bit cooler. I love this leopard set (top, leggings) and this navy/black mesh set (top, leggings). Runs TTS, I wear a medium.

ADDISON BAY

I wear a LOT of Addison Bay. They make my favorite pullover (I have this in four colors!). I also really love this tank top and these leggings. Also: I put this roundup together prior to their warehouse sale launching, a lot of my favs are included!

GIRLFRIEND

Another brand I really like. They have good compression, are sustainable, and are (compared to some of the other brands), pretty well priced. I love all of their simple, neutral matching sets.

SNEAKERS

Also, I can’t tell you how often I get asked what my favorite running sneakers are. It’s these, but I got a gait analysis at a running shop in Brooklyn years ago and they were recommended to me. I love them. That being said, do not buy running sneakers based on what some blogger wears. Go to your local running shop and get a gait analysis. Everyone has different arches, foot shapes, and running styles… so what works for me might not work for you! I also have these Hokas which are so comfy. I don’t wear them running though – I wear them for training and other workouts, and walking!

Last but not least, my Theragun. I have linked it below but wanted to share my review of the Theragun because this is one of my absolute favorite possessions. I use mine at least a few times every week. A must for sore muscles and feet.

I love this post! Granted, I need more workout gear like a hole in the head, lol, but who doesn’t want cute, functional, and comfortable clothes for working out?! I can’t wait to check out some of these brands that are entirely new to me!

I also appreciate your recommendation about getting a gait analysis done for anyone who is a runner or wants to be. I’ve been a long distance runner for literally decades, and if there’s two things every female runner needs, it’s the right shoes and a supportive sports bra! I had a gait analysis done years ago, and it really does help find the right shoes. I’ve been wearing the same style of running shoe since they first launched in 2010, and it makes all the difference.

As always, thanks Grace for such thoughtful (and cute!) content.

I have an orange long-haired Persian cat (Tyrion Puff is his celebrity twin!) and two other sweet Persian cats! Have you found any brands of leggings that do not attract as much cat hair? That is my main gripe with Lululemon aligns, which are otherwise my favorites.
