As you may know from reading this blog regularly, I’ve put myself on a shopping ban for the past month-ish until my 30th birthday (September 27th.) I did this for two reasons. First, punishment. Someone’s been shopping just a bit too much. Secondly, to save… I’ve decided that I want to buy a pair of Chanel ballet flats as a birthday gift to myself.
It’s actually been a good thing… first of all, I’ve been able to get a lot more creative. More DIY’s (buying craft supplies doesn’t count as shopping.) It’s also given me time to really think about what I need for Fall. As I’m splurging on the flats, it’s really just a few other crucial items that will freshen up my existing wardrobe.
J.Crew makes the greatest striped tops. I’m coveting this striped top because I love the way the navy blue tempers the punchy coral. I’ve written about these Sam Edelman Leopard Loafers before and I’m so in love with them. They’re wonderfully versatile and will go with everything I own. I’ve always wanted this Sequin Skirt from J.Crew – it’s time to add it to my closet. Every girl should have an Equipment blouse (or three.) I’m dying for their Spotted Hyde Blouse – it’s so fun! Lastly, I’ve wanted cobalt jeans for ages. I was so excited to see that Gap is doing a version – much less expensive than the J.Brand ones. Gap Legging Jeans in Brilliant Blue
That’s really it. I’m sure I’ll pick up a few things here or there, and maybe a fun dress or two… but these are my must-haves.
