Okay okay okay so I’m not going to be showing very many more summery looks around here because a) I’m not really buying summer clothes right now (duh) and b) I think you guys are probably in the same boat. That being said, I was out shopping in Soho last week and fell hard for this pretty little MLM dress – and it was on sale! So I broke my no more summer clothes rule but just once, and I think you should too. I figure I’ll wear it into October, basically so long as I can get away with bare legs. So we’re making an exception to posting mostly Fall clothes, but the good thing is everything I’m wearing today is on sale (including these Stuart Weitzman sandals which are the best – so comfy!)
Hope you guys are having a good week… I have a (wonderfully) empty calendar over here and am just trying to be as productive as possible before the fashion week nonsense kicks in next week. I can’t believe that we’re just about into September and that all that madness starts next week – totally crazy!!!
On an unrelated – but way more important – note – this Hurricane Harvey stuff is so scary. I donated to the Red Cross relief efforts yesterday and strongly encourage you to do the same if you can… no donation is too small. (You can also donate by texting HARVEY to 9099) In the meantime, keeping Texas in my thoughts + prayers.

A word about this ring, which I spied on one of my favorite bloggers, Katie of The 12ish Style.
We were seated next to each other (with Toast, her ultra-famous fur baby) and I proceeded to fan girl the hell out of her. (Sorry, Katie.) Katie’s blog is one of my favorites. Her style is fantastic (she loves banana leaves as much as I do) and I love how she takes trends you’d spy on rail thin celebs and shows how to wear them on a curvier silhouette. And I love her body-positive message on Instagram, encouraging her audience to try new things (shorts, “put your confidence on before you go to the beach,” etc.) She’s one of my all time favorites.
But anyway, Katie had on the coolest ring. Hers was rose gold with 5 little sapphire stars. I proceeded to gush, and she told me about Fox & Bond. If you don’t know about the site you are in for a treat. So much cool, one of a kind vintage jewelry and they also have their own line. It’s all so good. After lunch, she was kind enough to introduce me to the brand and they made me my own ring (!!!) I went with yellow gold with emeralds + citrines. I haven’t taken it off since it came in the mail. New favorite.

That’s a really pretty dress! I feel like I haven’t lived my summer enough so I’m still in the summer mood and I’m fighting fall as much as I can even though it’s raining right now… haha And I really like how you paired that bag with that dress, it looks like a fun combination.
