Getting today’s post up a little late… happy Friday, friends! The apartment has more or less taken over my life this week, and I’ve been a little scatterbrained. I had dinner with a bunch of friends last night and afterward my one friend (who is so good at this stuff!) came over to help me measure/decide where my dining table should go which led to us staying up until nearly 4am looking at furniture. It was only as I was drifting off to sleep that I realized, “Crap! I don’t have a blog post scheduled for tomorrow!!!” So I apologize for that… lately I have had a one track mind… apartment, apartment, apartment! I know I keep talking about the space – I hope that’s not annoying… I’m just so excited! I will be sharing more updates in the coming weeks but in the meantime I have been pinning up a storm and have a decorator coming over next week to help me figure out bathroom wallpaper and a few other things!
I should finish my floors by tonight. I am doing a painted emerald green checkerboard. Taping off the diamonds has been a lot of work but I am so excited as I think it will make the space look really perfect. If you are looking to update yucky floors this is the perfect project… the supplies only cost me about $100, and while it’s been a bit of a headache at times it is fun! I have been photographing the process so I will have a how-to up for you in the coming weeks. 🙂
In other news, this is the last outfit from Charleston for a while. Are you sick of Charleston yet? I wore this comfy outfit to wander around The Battery (the really beautiful historic part of the city on the water). We snapped these photos on Tradd Street which is my favorite street in the town… (I also love Church Street but that’s everyone’s favorite!) This Sanctuary dress is so cute + comfy, and I’m shocked by how often I wear this military jacket (also seen in this post). I wear these Vince Sneakers soooo much… have been thinking about getting them in deep blue for Spring.
Outfit Details: Levi’s Jacket // Sanctuary Gingham Dress // Vince Warren Sneakers (also here; less expensive option here) // Gucci Purse // Elizabeth Cole Earrings // Celine Sunglasses (less expensive option here) // Candyshop Vintage Rice Beads (long necklace worn as a bracelet)
