I’ve always had an affinity for Milly. Before I moved here, I saw it as the quintessential New York brand… I imagined that all the girls who lived and worked here wore the brand from head to toe. (Now that I live here, I know that we just have access to sample sales and mix + match with pieces from Forever 21.) That’s the thing with Milly though. The designer, Michelle Smith, understands the New York mentality, that need to be “done,” to be perfectly put together. This collection is just slightly less polished than usual, but it’s a good thing. It’s still there, just a bit more young/cool. I personally love the leather dress – and that Peter Pan Collar! I’m loving all of the black and white, too… especially the graphic print on the shift dress (bottom left.) Yup… I’d wear everything in this collection!
