Mexico, Part Two.

I’d originally planned to share some more photos with you today from my days spent in Playa del Carmen… but then I got to Tulum yesterday and fell in love.  Besides, all I really had to say about Playa is that I found the most amazing spot for a $35.00 massage (for one hour!)  It’s called Zen Spa on 5th + 12th.  Go.  But back to Tulum.  Honestly guys, I just got here and am already thinking about how I’m going to come back.  It has to be a yearly thing, at the very least.  I am positively in awe and in love with this place.

Thanks to Rita, I am staying at the Coqui Coqui… but my hotel // perfumerie deserves its own post so we’ll get to that a little later.

{on the main road, which is really just a narrow dirt road, there are all sorts of little bazaars and shops just like this one.  Everything is locally made and beautifully designed.}

{The only thing I’ve bought so far is a coverup from Josa (also Rita’s recommendation)  I splurged on a yellow and white striped one.   Splurged, meaning I spent about $80 on it.  I’ve been trying not to shop and to spend my money here on experiences vs. things, but I fell in love with the cuts + colors of their caftans.  Everything Josa makes is made in Mexico and the pieces are really chic in a cool, sexy but not trying to hard sort of way.}

    Did you discover the beachside huts / cabanas just down the shoreline from the ruins in Tulum?? Loved sitting at the outside bar there dining alfresco watching the hammocks sway in the breeze!! Great pictures!!
