Matteo Bedding.

Mateo-Bedding

My sister Becca and I are so alike, yet so different. She comes to me for advice about fashion designers + beauty products… I go to her for all things home. Recently, I realized that I had a problem… I only really had one good set of sheets… (my fave polka dots from Biscuit.) I showed her a few sets I liked from Anthropologie and a few other stores I love… and she just sort of laughed at me, like… what are you doing. “Matteo,” she said.. you need to order from Matteo. And so I took a peek at their website only to be a) awe-struck by how beautiful their bedding is, and b) a bit horrified that she spends that much money on her bedding (in her defense, she got all of hers on sale.) The bedding is dreamy. The linen sheets with hammock and ruffle details remind me so much of Tulum, and I love the attention to every detail. Each Matteo piece is hand made to order in Los Angeles (for more of the making process, read this blog post.)

Anyway, I was on Facebook earlier today and those pesky retargeting ads were following me around. But this time I was excited… Matteo is on One Kings Lane and I wouldn’t have otherwise known about the sale. There are deals to be had. I say deals, meaning they are still the most expensive sheets I’ve ever purchased… but much more affordable than Matteo’s usual pricing. I am big on the linen bedding. There’s the whole Tat collection… I love the ruffles and both the duvet + shams are available on OKL, but I also really love the vintage linen duvet + classic Nap sheet set (all of the Nap pieces are made from crazy soft cotton.)

It’s funny how your priorities change as you get older, but right now there is nothing better than great bedding.

insane. i saw this bedding in a style magazine years ago, but not as a product, it was picture of some celebrity’s bedroom. i went crazy about the bedding, and finally tracked it all the way to matteo. my heart sank when i saw the price tag. skip ahead eons later, you post this the day i start reading your blog (love it btw), and voila! there’s that dreamy bedding again, and on freaking sale! i’m eyeing the rope blanket and the pile coverlet, but those are going to have to wait, for now, i did get the nap sheet set and i cannot wait for my first night on them. thanks!!!

Hahahahaha that is so funny. I would be pretty excited to have a fence… though I live in a studio in Manhattan, so that won’t be happening any time soon!
