Matchy Matchy…

Yesterday was one of those glorious days, where I sat at my desk the entire day and just plowed through work. Back when I worked a traditional 9-5, this would be pretty standard but lately I’ve been pulled in so many directions between shoots, meetings, and family things. So it felt really good to be productive and check item after item off the old to-do list. I need to be better at setting at least one day a week as a purely “desk day.” My only complaint is that the snow didn’t stick. It was such a pretty morning!

Anyway, clothes. You know by now that I’m a sucker for both lace AND a good matchy-matchy set which is why I fell hard for this sweet little Lovers + Friends set. Both the crop top and the skirt have such beautiful details (I love the intricate hemlines on both.) They also made a dress version, which is pretty cute. Also, sorry for the seasonally inappropriate posts. Of course I wore a coat when we shot this (yesterday’s look too), but the coat didn’t really match and I wanted to show you the dress. I’ll be reaching for this combo quite a bit come Spring, but I wanted to show it to you now before it sells out. (Why do the cutest pieces always sell out before it’s actually warm enough to wear them?) So unfair.

Oh and on a totally random note: Anyone else watching the Bernie Madoff mini-series? I started it on Sunday night and finished it yesterday night… it was addicting! The cast is amazing (Richard Dreyfuss and Blythe Danner star) and while it’s scripted (not a documentary), it’s certainly been very fun to watch.

Outfit Details: Lovers + Friends Crop Top // Lovers + Friends Skirt // Express Tights (my fave!) // Saint Laurent Tribute Sandals // Chanel Quilted Mini 2.55 Bag (Vintage)

I can’t get enough of this gorgeous turquoise color and am so happy that it’s one of the “in” colors for the Spring/ Summer. 🙂 You look absolutely stunning from head to toe.

Someone called this turquoise, I’d call it almost periwinkle , it looks gorg on you. I’m not a fan with the black tights and shoes. I’d love to see it with a black sweater or blouse and just the skirt. Or the top with a more wintery bottom. ( sorry ex fashion designer talking here)It’s going to rock in the warmer weather and bare legs. It’s a beautiful set!

I only caught one of the 3 episodes of the mini-series, but I immediately got sucked in. My partner caught me up on the last episode and we had a really interesting discussion about all of it (how much was real vs made for tv, did the brothers really know? how sad they died in such tragic circumstances). I never would have thought I’d be so interested in it. Glad to hear someone else was too!

It’s so addicting! I thought all of the same things, and wished I had someone to chat about it with!) I also never completely understood exactly how a Ponzi scheme works… it is so crazy to me that all that money was just sitting in his bank account and no one audited it or did anything about it.

    Love the dress.

I saw the Madoff docudrama as well. It was fascinating and really sad. I wonder how much the sons knew and so awful all those unfortunate people were cheated out of their life savings.
