Besides the fact that it forces me to be creative, my favorite thing about blogging is the friendships that I’ve made. The girls behind Honestly WTF are two of my favorites. Truly genuine, cool, (and brilliant!) ladies. I feel so lucky to have gotten to become friends with them. During this weekend’s trip to LA, the boyfriend and I drove out to Manhattan Beach and spent the day with Lauren, her boyfriend, and their adorable dog, Gordos. We had a great day together – and I fell in complete and utter love with Manhattan Beach.

Lauren’s bf is just as crafty as she… he made that amazing leather tote that she’s carrying.
How incredible are all of these pom poms!? (Tutorial here.) I wanted to play with everything in Lauren’s apartment. Love that planter and mirror as well.
And… of course we had to pay a visit to Aviator Nation. The boyfriend and I have been to the Venice location several times (as referenced here and here,) but we’d never been to this location.
Gordos totally stole the show… love him!
I’ll be posting pictures from the rest of our trip tomorrow… stay tuned! It was a fantastic weekend. Quality time with the boyfriend, good time with friends, scrumptious food, and the Decade of Difference concert on Saturday night. Amazing!
