I have struggled a little bit about sharing a cellulite cream here. It doesn’t feel very body positive. Am I setting a bad example for my fellow women who read here by saying I feel self conscious about it? I don’t know. I’ve gone back and forth about sharing this (conflicting sides: It’s good to be honest! It’s anti-feminist!) and ultimately decided to go for it as it is a great product. I also think it’s okay if something bothers you and you want to change it. Everyone has cellulite. It is perfectly normal and it’s one of those things that is predominantly caused by genetics, affecting women of all shapes, sizes, and ages. It has nothing to do with how healthy you eat or how much you work out. For most of us, pretty much every woman I know, it’s just there.
I have had cellulite in the back of my thighs and butt since the days where I was a competitive runner; it’s just something I’ve gotten used to. I don’t like it but it was drilled into me that there is not much you can do about it besides surgical things like liposuction (not for me). And I just figured it’s something I can’t really change so just… deal with it, right?
Maelys B-Tight had been following me around on Instagram ads for a while. The before and after photos seemed too good to be true. But I got curious, and bought it right off the Instagram ad. Over the years I have tried so many creams of the firming, anti-cellulite nature. None of them worked. This really does lift and firm the booty. With consistent use, I’ve noticed a big reduction in cellulite. Though I will caveat that the results are temporary, they go away if you stop using it. But I have never tried a cellulite cream that worked as well as this one. Today, I’m sharing my review. Do with it what you wish.
PS – not for cellulite but I also love this body cream from Dr. Bader.
Maelys b-tight review
Maelys B-Tight markets itself as a booty mask, which sounds better than a cellulite cream… but it’s not really a mask: it’s a thick cream that you don’t rinse it off. (I think of a mask as something you’d rinse off.) With continued use, it will absolutely reduce the appearance of cellulite. You are meant to apply it twice a day (usually I only get around to applying it once!) . It is clinically proven to significantly increase smoothness and firmess, to firm the skin, and decrease roughness.
maelys b-tight ingredients
First of all, it’s free of parabens, SLS, and phthalates.
- Pink PepperSlim: a plant extract that smooths the look of fatty skin.
- Hyaluronic Acid: our beloved hydrating ingredient. Preserves the skin’s moisture for a more hydrated, plump look.
- Red Grapefruit Oil: anti-inflammatory, antioxidant. Helps with circulation.
- Guarana Seed Extract: a plant extract that wakes up the skin!
how does maelys b-tight work?
The product is said to enhance blood circulation, stimulate collagen production, and reduce the appearance of cellulite. You notice a warming sensation upon application. This can intensify over the next thirty minutes. After using the product for a few weeks, I noticed visible changes. My skin felt firmer and smoother, and the dimples that I had grown accustomed to were less noticeable. However, let’s keep things real. Cellulite is a part of life, and while Maelys B-Tight can certainly provide a temporary improvement, it’s not a magic eraser. It definitely works, but the results are temporary. If you stop using it, the results will go away.
maelys b-tight side effects
I can’t think of any side effects, except (see below!) it does get quite warm. I think this might be uncomfortable for some; it was a bit surprising to me but I don’t mind it. Be sure to wash your hands after using. You do not want to touch your face or your eyes… irritation will occur.
does maelys b-tight really work?
YES – this really works. But like I said, the results are temporary. They get better and better with use (I noticed a small difference the first time I used and a significant difference after about 2 weeks of consistent use), but if you stop using, the results go away.
maelys b-tight before and after
I am not going to share before and after photos, just not comfortable with that. But the product page has some great examples. Overall I have noticed my butt and thighs are much more firm, the skin is very soft, and truly: fewer dimples! Not zero dimples, but probably 50% less. I will take it.
How To Use Maelys B-Tight
Use this 2x a day if you can.
When I am being the most disciplined, I apply after my morning shower and again before bed. I am not always my most disciplined, so it’s usually right after my shower, once a day.
Apply a generous layer.
Apply a generous amount to the booty and thighs. I would say I use a quarter size dollop. I always apply this before any other body creams or serums!
Massage in circular motions.
You’ll want to massage it in until fully absorbed (this does not take long, it absorbs pretty quickly).
Don’t be alarmed, you will feel a warming sensation.
This is totally normal. If you don’t like the tingling/warming sensation, the brand recommends waiting at least 20 minutes after a shower before applying. I have definitely noticed that it is hottest when I apply after my shower vs. applying before bedtime. It can get pretty hot, so if that bugs you skip this product. I kind of like it?
Where To Buy Maelys B-Tight
- Directly from the brand, $49
- Amazon, $49
- Ulta Beauty, $49
- Wal-Mart, $49
I will say that I have tried other Maelys Cosmetics products (all bought with my own money) and so far, this is the best of the bunch and the only one that warranted writing about here on the blog. I hope this review was helpful!

Thank you for sharing this! I appreciate the honesty! Quick question – how long does the tub usually last for you (given the caveat that you usually aren’t applying 2x daily)?
Hmmm, I haven’t been paying attention, I’d say a couple months? You don’t need to use much since you only apply to butt and thighs.
My tub definitely does not last a couple of months. It lasts barely 2 weeks. The instructions said “generous” amount. Is a quarter size amount generous for thighs front and back and butt? Doesn’t seem like it to me.
Hi Grace! Thanks for the review. I think this is just another great product like any other beauty product one might use. I don’t feel there are any bad messages here, it is just like using serums or acne potions. Speaking of other products, I’d love to hear your opinion of the Augustinus Bader lash serum. I just started using it after trying everything else. I’m liking it, what say you?
Oops! I realize I missed the review. I’ll read it now. Thank you for always covering the good stuff!
How long after you stop using it does the cellulite / dimples return?
Yes there is a review if you search, but I love it!
Thanks for the review! I also got instagram advertised and I almost bought it for summer. But since I didn’t have any beach plans and don’t wear anything too short, decided to skip this year, but def want to try next summer.
Makes sense!
I’m with you in that some of this stuff makes me uneasy! It’s not fun & breezy, but I’ve been thinking recently about “anti-aging” and what it means to strive for an aesthetic ideal. Jessica Defino’s newsletter, The Unpublishable, has been forcing me to take a deeper look at beauty, the beauty industry, and my own consumption. Recommend for you or anyone interested in unpacking some of this stuff (w/ the major caveat that I don’t agree with everything she says & I’m not the perfect embodiment of “love the skin you’re in” by any means!!!)
Thanks for sharing!
I’m not a vigorous user… I used it maybe 5 times in a 2 week period and the loose skin from an old belly button ring piercing(stretched after 3 pregnancies) the skin tightened up and no wrinkles! it’s been over a year and the results were NOT temporary! I definitely believe in this stuff.
Useful article that is hones and realistic.
can it be used on belly rolls? from having c-section?
I think that the brand has a stomach forming cream you can use. This one may be for the buttocks only.
I ordered the B tight and flat belly and a body serum but I also love my lush lotions. Can I apply my lush on top and how long should I wait to apply my lush lotions? Or is it better to use the products by themselves?
I would just let it dry and then apply!
I’m surprised that the product does work tried so many others that didn’t so I am very happy with the product. I purchased a be tight. Just wish it would last a little longer because I can’t afford to buy the product at $49 too often. A good price better than most, but I just can’t afford it. I am going to try to get dreamy since one person says it last longer hopefully that will last longer for me but all in all I find that you made some great products, and I have already started telling others about it. Cheaper than plastic surgery and not as dangerous.
I appreciate your honesty. Here’s the catch of a small jar. A person will go penniless trying to keep an ample supply to be consistent with use.
About how long does a jar last?
This is the review I was looking for!! I applied it for the first time tonight and my butt is on fire! lol. Right now they are offering try before you buy. I got the butt/thigh, neck, arm, and body cream… they all get a little hot, but the bum is definitely the hottest. Are you applying on your whole thigh? Inner too?
Yes I apply to the whole top half of my thigh!
I’ve spent over $200 with taxes included on several items I had hope in based on multiple advertisements on many social media platforms and television. I purchased the starter pack which consists of trail sizes of B-Glossy, B-Flat, and B-Tight. I also purchased the full size of Get Dreamy, B-Flat, and B-Tight. I followed the instructions and used daily for a little over 8 weeks and didn’t notice any difference. Honestly, I was quite disappointed in the outcome after all I’ve seen in media. I don’t forsee any additional purchases of the brand going forward.
can u use it else where like lovehandles
