Lulu Frost x J.Crew Shoe Clips

Lulu-Frost-Shoe-Clips-1

About a month ago I attended a Lulu Frost event at the J.Crew store downtown and Lisa Salzer (the designer) had on the most insane shoes.  Or so I thought… they were actually shoe clips on a basic pump.  Love.  I’m pretty practical when it comes to my shoes so I’ve splurged on some great classic pumps, but never any really beautiful embellished heels.  That’s where clips come in – they are the best way to add  a little glitz to your boring basics.  These are absolutely incredible (the Lulu team let me borrow a couple of pairs to have fun and style for you here) but now they are finally available for purchase.  My favorites are the emerald ones, but really… I love them all.

{I paired them with my leopard and  silver pumps.}

    I love the idea of shoe clips. Do you find that they fit well in your shoe above your toes?

    What a wonderful way to dress up some staple heels — particularly this time of year where sparkle is everything 🙂

    These shoe clips are the coolest thing! Would it be wrong to put them on every pair I own and call it a day?

    They’re very beautiful. I remember that in the 80’s bows were used to embellish shoes (at least in my country). These by Lulu Frost are much better!

    I love the green with the leopard–like kitty eyes! I’ve never tried shoe-clips, but I think they’re a cool idea. Can you feel it when you wear them? I mean, I’m imagining something like a clip-on earring, so I’d worry about the metal digging into the top of my foot where it connects.

    Love the shoe clips!! Who ever thought you could make leopard shoes even more gorgeous and then……BOOM!! I recently was inspired to use my Grandmother’s clip-on earrings on a beanie the other day after seeing your post of the beautiful Club Monoco beanie! Again, another easy way to dress up a basic beanie with clip-on vintage earrings!! Thanks for the inspiration!!

    Absolutely love the idea. And I agree with you…I am very simple when it comes to my shoes too (at least in recent years lol).
