L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Masks.

Over the past few years, drugstore beauty has gotten soooo much better. Want a peel? Great. A moisturizer that will prevent against ageing AND help fix prior damage? Sure. But until more recently, the full spa experience wasn’t really something you could find at the drugstore. You could get the latest and greatest innovation for everyday treatment, but if you wanted a mask, you’d have to go the department/specialty store route.

Not anymore… L’Oreal Paris just launched three new clay masks, designed to give you that luxurious at-home spa experience – at a drugstore price point. All three masks are creamy in texture and contain clays sourced from all over the world… but each one addresses a different skincare concern. I tried them all (multiple times – it’s a hard job but someone had to do it!) and here’s the scoop.

We will start with my personal favorite… Detox and Brighten (charcoal). I’ve long been a fan of charcoal’s detoxification properties (it acts like a magnet to dirt + oil, sucking all the bad stuff out of your pores). Besides charcoal, it also contains 3 pure clays – kaolinite, montmorillonite, and ghassoul to deep cleanse and purify.

Upon using this mask, my skin definitely felt considerably cleaner… but my skin-tone was noticeably more even, toned, and radiant.

Next up: Exfoliate and Refine (this is the reddish-orange one… it contains red algae). I loooove this one as it’s particularly great when your skin is feeling a little bit rough and/or you want to diminish the appearance of large pores. Red algae protects and provides anti-oxidants… and the red clay has tiny volcanic particles that do the exfoliation and smoothing. I sometimes use this just on my t-zone to target the larger pores on my nose. Nothing can permanently fix those larger pores on your nose, but after using this, they look considerably smaller.

Last but not least, Purify & Mattify. As a dry-skinned girl, I have less of a need for this. It contains eucalyptus (one of my most favorite scents) to deep clean, purify, + soak up excess oil. (Added bonus – the creamy light green formula makes for a great selfie). I really liked how it felt on my skin but ended up passing it along to a girlfriend with oilier skin – she loved it and swore her skin was much less shiny for a full day after using it. If your skin runs on the oilier side, you will love this one!

Wow, now I want to try all of them – especially the first. Sometimes, though, I have a hard time figuring out if there’s enough of a difference between similar products to actually buy them all.

I can’t wait to try these! I can’t decide if I want to try the charcoal or red one first! My skin is drier too so I don’t need to dry it up with the green one!

Perfect timing for a new mask to come out by L’Oreal. The marketplace was really not filling the void for mask. All of these masks are excellent. I particularly like the detox mask for my scam. I also agree that green eucalyptus mask is great if you have oily skin. It’s a nice addition for my face because I normally pay $120 a month for a professional facial. Good job L’Oreal.

If you are breaking out a lot I would recommend the green one!!! It’s a game changer when your skin is extra oily or distressed. 🙂 Hope it helps.

If you use all three how are the used? Can you use one a day or would you use all three on the same day?

I definitely wouldn’t recommend using all three at once!!! I would do one mask, maybe every 3 days. Definitely not on the same day.

The charcoal is great as a once a week treatment.
When your skin needs a little extra exfoliation, try the red clay.
And if your skin is oily and needs mattifying, try the green!

      Hope that helps!

This is decent exfoliating face wash at (currently) a reasonable price. I haven’t used it everyday but used a couple of times a week in place of my usual cleanser it refreshes the skin & removes dead skin cells. It does have a granular texture but it isn’t too harsh so should be suitable for sensitive skin (I have sensitive skin and it has been fine for me). It is a bit messy to use and I would advise keeping it well clear of white towels & clothing as it stains them. I bought it from Chase Value Centre and recommend you all to use this product.

@blue-pear-farms on IG has a 100% natural and organic mask that blows this away. She can’t keep it in stock. Rivals Glamglow any day! Seriously, in love. L’OREAL is filled with junk and a few decent ingredients. But this chicks ⬆️mask is pure genius.
