Party Shoes!

Tibi Belle Dress, Loeffler Randall Nicolette Sandals // Grace Atwood, The Stripe

This week has been a little less stressful/busy than usual and I’ve really embraced it. It’s been nice having time to get caught up on the to-do list. I had a few events (an art opening on Tuesday, dessert-making with Martha Stewart last night) but I got to spend a lot of time at home just working + playing catch-up, which was such a treat… annnd so necessary as next week I am off to Charlottesville, VA (my first time – continuing my love affair with the South!)

Anyway, I really love today’s outfit. I’d been wanting to try something bell-sleeved, but everything I tried on just felt so silly! Enter this dress. In thick silk, it feels more seventies chic than circus performer.  It’s one of those great little dresses that you could wear to the office but also to happy hour or on a date… a really, really great workhorse. And these shoes… I just can’t. I don’t think I’ve ever loved a pair of shoes more (that’s probably a lie – my shoes are like children to me!) as they are just the most fun. You’ll recognize them from my birthday post and can probably expect to see more of them… I can’t wait to try a more casual look… they’ll be so cute with jeans and a tee!

PS – The dress is now on sale at Saks – in olive green! Might need to get that one too… as you may have noticed from this Instagram, I’m really into olive right now for Fall.

Outfit Details: Tibi Belle Dress (also here, here, here, + here — I recommend sizing up… I usually wear a 6 in Tibi but took an 8 as it was cut a bit narrow through the hips!) // Clare V Leopard Clutch // Candy Shop Vintage Necklace // Loeffler Randall Nicolette Sandals (also here, here, + here) // Krewe Julia Cateye Sunglases

Look for Less: Dress // Clutch // Sunglasses // Heels

This necklace is my obsession. Deirdre (the owner of Candy Shop Vintage) has become a really great friend over the past few years (we threw the joint birthday party together in Charleston, and she’s coming with me to Virginia next week!) and she gave it to me for my birthday. I love it so much… mostly because it just looks like a really classic, beautiful collar at first and then you look a little closer and realize it’s actually a CROISSANT! Positively genius!!
