Let the Sunshine In!

YELLOW-7

This month {and forgive me if it sounds cheesy} I’ve been doing a little bit of a Spring cleaning of the soul. Out with all the bad, making room for the new. I think back to when I was younger and more free and I want to get back to that place.

I put together this outfit inspired by Marc Jacobs’ youthful and vibrant Daisy fragrances. It’s funny how a fragrance – or bright, happy clothing can lift immediately lift your spirts!  When I think of being sunny, happy, and free, I automatically think of bright colors {like this fun yellow peacoat – such an instant mood lifter!} or a big sparkly necklace. And high heels always, always lift my mood!

What are you doing for yourself to feel happier this Spring? I’d love to hear in the comments!

I wore Daisy ages ago, when I worked for Marc Jacobs fragrance’s parent company. It’s a really pretty scent… light and fresh, just as you would imagine a Daisy would smell. But l’m really obsessed with the latest version, Daisy Eau so Fresh {and not just because the cap is so insanely cute!} as it is a bit more fruity than the original – with notes of raspberry and grapefruit.

But both fragrances are instant mood lifters – something about them reminds me of being young again. Isn’t it funny how powerful olfactory memories can be?

I agree with wanting to get back to your younger self!! I miss the care-free days of being a 9 year old! I definitely have to do a physical and mental Spring cleaning soon!
