As I got ready this morning, I decided to give the bareminerals mascara that I got in this month’s Birchbox a try. As I opened up the tube, I immediately got a little bit scared. The wand was so covered in mascara that you could barely see the brush. It looked gunky and gross… yuck.
The Birchbox girls could not have let me down. (Or could they?) I trust Birchbox like a sister. Every month their samples surprise and delight, and feel tailored to my own individual needs.
I put my reservations aside and gave the mascara a go. I’m glad I did. I don’t know what the deal is with the brush, but it’s magic. After a few quick coats, my lashes were triple their usual size, with not even a trace of a clump. The mascara also imparts a nice sheen to your lashes, making them look glossy and healthy. I’m a convert.?
