Alright alright, I have gotten a few requests to bring this column back so here we are!!!! This was definitely a fancier week than usual as I was in New York for meetings and a few fun dinners and then when I got back to Charleston I had my mom’s birthday dinner and a black-tie event for The Gibbes Museum (our local art museum). Expect lots of really cozy/lazy looks in next week’s roundup.
Last Week in Outfits, 2.16.22
Monday
What I Did: In the morning/early afternoon I had one last LA excursion (we went to Huntington Gardens!), and then I flew to New York.
What I Wore: Rachel Comey caftan (wearing the XS/S) / Vince Sneakers // Article One sunglasses (an older style, sadly sold out – but I love this brand, a very cool small biz)
Tuesday – Day
What I Did: Meetings and seeing friends in the city.
What I Wore: Amazon Dress (wearing a medium) // Express Tights (the best tights ever) // Veronica Beard boots (the best ever, they’re a few years old but these, these, and these are similar)
Tuesday – Night
What I Did: Dinner with The Daily Front Row at Scarpetta.
What I Wore: La Double J Dress (current, runs slightly small – I’m in the medium and it’s a little tight!) // Veronica Beard boots (the best ever, they’re a few years old but these, these, and these are similar)
I also got some questions about the coat I am wearing. It’s Stand Studio from last year, and it’s amazing + currently marked down on The Outnet – just go down a couple sizes (I’m wearing a FR 34 which is a size 2).
Wednesday – Day
What I Did: Meetings (finalizing my Sarah Flint shoe design!!!) and seeing friends in the city
What I Wore: White & Warren Sweater // AGOLDE Jeans // Vince Sneakers
Wednesday – Night
What I Did: Meetings in the city and then dinner at The Waverly Inn
What I Wore: Misa Los Angeles Dress (wearing a small) // Veronica Beard boots (the best ever, they’re a few years old but these, these, and these are similar)
Friday Night
What I Did: Went to The Peninsula Grill (our family favorite) for my mom’s birthday dinner and then met friends out for the Gibbes Museum’s Winter Party afterward.
What I Wore: Catherine Prevost Dress (wearing a medium) // Margaux Sandals // Retrouvai Ring

Love this “week in outfits” column! Please keep them coming. I get so much inspiration from them <3
Love from Germany
I am so glad! Thanks for letting me know! x
Very fun – thanks for sharing, Grace! I think it inspired me to try a little harder with some of my outfits – like wear the boots instead of my sneakers with more casual clothes! Look forward to seeing more of this.
Oh good, happy to hear that!!!
I’ve been eyeing that Amazon dress forever (every time you post!) Maybe I need to just buy it!! I’m super petite, so I’m always afraid it won’t look right on me.
Yeah that is tricky, I am not sure to be honest! The drop waist could hit funny. Can’t hurt to try and just return if it doesn’t work!
I love that you brought this back! So fun to see your LA style vs the NYC style. Same essence, different vibe.
Can I ask what color your Vince sneakers are? White? Taupe/grey? It’s hard to tell in the pics. Thanks!!
Hahaha yes of course! They are white. I have had them for several years now so they may be a little dirty. 😉
Love your outfits, Grace!! I’m wondering if you have tips on how to pack for a trip with two completely different climates, like LA and NY. I am stubborn and don’t like to check a bag, but maybe that’s the only viable option!! Thank you!
Oh my gosh I wish there were some secret trick – I packed a giant suitcase and checked a bag. I probably could have packed a little less but with my winter coat, the Veronica Beard boots (they take up so much space!), and needing to pack cute fashiony outfits for New York), it felt impossible. I tried to just embrace checking a bag (which I also hate) and enjoy the perks (not lugging it around or needing to find overhead space for it), being able to pack full size skincare, etc. This isn’t something I do often as I prefer not checking… but it really wasn’t so bad, it was kind of nice?
You could probably get away with darker dresses in LA (and then adding tights and a sweater in the colder climate), same with jeans and a tee (just adding a sweater). But for me, the big winter coat and the boots meant checking. But again, it wasn’t so bad!
Thank you so much for your reply!! If only we all had Mary Poppins bags, haha
SERIOUSLY!!
Always loved this column, thanks for bringing it back!
That makes me so happy, thank you!

Please bring this series back! It’s one of my favorites! ♥️♥️
So glad you love it!
Another vote for making this a regular post again!
Noted!!!
I am a never blog reader so don’t remember this column from the first time around but I really love it! Especially that you share what you did in the outfit – looking forward to more!
So happy to hear that!
I wore a green wrap dress last night for my bday dinner, and I felt gorgeous! I don’t really have a particular style ever (which I struggle with / want to change!) but the dress choice was very much influenced by your style Grace 🙂 so… thanks!
