Last Week in Outfits, 1.11.23
It was a calm and cozy week at home in Charleston! It was mostly just a lot of days at home, working and getting caught up on things around the house after being away for so long. And then a real highlight: one of my best friends came to visit this past weekend. It was SO nice having her here. We had some yummy dinners, girl time, and also just relaxing and resting. This week is a busy one with work (shoots, deadlines) and I’m really looking forward to a plans-free weekend.

Grace, that tourmaline ring is stunning! Tourmaline is the stone for my upcoming wedding anniversary, so I’ve been prospecting about 😉 It’s one of my favorites stones. Your ring is just gorgeous. Suits you!
Oh I love that! Retrouvai’s pieces are so special. I buy myself something every birthday.
Loving, envying and eyeing for myself all of your Tod’s accessories. So classic. So chic.
Oh thank you! I love them so much.
Wow! Thursday is a surprise hit for me! The tonal look (and special details a la the sweater’s collar and leggings’ pattern) is fab. And this is exactly why I love your outfit roundups, Grace! On its face, my style isn’t at all like yours, but seeing how you dress yourself and style your home really opens up my sources of inspiration. (Particularly the latter—in a sea of style blogs touting beige minimalism as the pinnacle of décor, I LOVE your joy-sparking rooms of rich gemstone hues punctuated by unexpected pops of fun!)
That is so nice — I’m really happy you like it!
Any thoughts to share on the fit of the La DoubleJ mini dress? The website describes it as “a line,” would you say that’s accurate or is it a little tighter fit in the hips?
I own the Ralph Lauren long blazer and love that combo!
It is A Line but it is definitely more figure skimming and I find that Le Double J as a brand generally runs slightly small. I am wearing a medium and it’s perfect for me but I would not say it’s a generous cut – on a similar style, I had to have my mom remove the pockets because they bunched. If you are worried about the hips I would say to def size up. 🙂
I don’t think I’ll be able to get over that ring for a while to come…
oh thank you! it’s definitely one of my most prized possessions!
