About a month ago, I had a bit of a Cinderella moment. I was invited to L’Oreal’s Women of Worth Event uptown at The Pierre Hotel. They were sending professional hair and makeup to my apartment, a car to escort me there… the works. Alas, I had nothing to wear! That sounds weird, I know… I have a lot of great clothes, but I actually didn’t own a longer formal gown until I bought this one!
I ran to Saks and tried on at least fifteen dresses, but this L’Agence pleated gown was the clear choice. I fell in love with the Grecian style draping and the flattering cut. The inner corset makes the plunging neckline surprisingly easy to wear, and it’s actually really comfortable.
The only thing was that it was waaayyy too long! I managed to find a tailor who would hem it at the very last minute. So last minute that I finished up with hair and makeup, ran back to the tailor, had him help me zip up into the dress, and was off to the awards… it really did feel like a fairy tale!!! I love the dress so much. I know I’ll have more opportunities to wear it with future events and black tie weddings… I’m counting the days until I get to put it back on!
PS – It just went on sale… sad for me but good for you!
As we were shooting, this guy rode up and inserted himself into the photo. Obviously we had to strike a pose together!
