Kelly’s Chic Under $100: Forever Favorites

In this industry we tend to try a lot of different products. From the latest trendy dress or bag, to some cult-favorite cosmetic, it can be very easy to get swept up in the newest thing. We’re not kidding anyone when we say that there aren’t those tried-and-true favorites that stick around, no matter how many similar products attempt to make it into the rotation. This week, I rounded up some things I buy over and over again because they’re just that good.

In the beauty realm, this coffee scrub from Brooklyn-based Palermo is truly the only scrub you’ll ever need to buy. It’s a little pricey but so worth it – not only does it make your skin buttery soft, it cleared up rosacea I’ve had on my arms for decades. This facial cleanser is for acne-prone skin, and I’ve been using it since I was a teenager. I no longer have problems with acne, but it still keeps any excess oil in control and takes off my makeup better than anything else I’ve tried. This hand soap is a guilty pleasure (expensive but incredible – makes my teeny tiny bathroom feel like a hotel room), and this natural deodorant is my be-all-end-all.

When it comes to fashion, my favorite cashmere sweater is under $100 and comes in tons of colors. I’m a sucker for a white blouse for both work and play: this one does the trick perfectly. Monrow’s tees are luxe and tissue-thin for a super soft feel. Everlane’s denim is a true classic and a wrap dress always makes me feel flattered and secure. J.Crew’s pajamas are my go-to for a look that’s both comfortable and also presentable, just in case I should be a guest in someone’s home, or if I answer the door for Seamless in my PJs 🙂

Accessories are also a huge make-or-break. Black booties, tan sandals or wedges, and a fun mule that is walkable are all musts. You can never have enough pouches, and this one from Cuyana is a gorgeous staple – I have three!

Finally, the products I can’t live without lately are Oatmega bars. They’re low sugar (it’s hard to find one with under 10 grams!), high in protein and omega-3s, and are chock full of ingredients I can pronounce. Plus they come in tons of great flavors, and part of the proceeds of each sale are donated to charity. That’s a product I can get behind!

Xx

I tried Embryolisse for the first time this past winter. My skin got so dry – even in Texas – that nothing else I bought was working. I woke up every morning with skin that felt tight and dry. This stuff is fantastic! It provides major moisture but doesn’t irritate my super-sensitive skin.
