Kelly’s Chic Under $100: Volume.

Kelly's Chic Under $100 - Unexpected Volume - The Stripe Blog

I’m not sure what it is lately about voluminous clothing, but every time I see a look that’s just really, really chic, I notice that one item has a little extra structure/volume. That extra sleeve, shoulder, skirt, etc. really makes a difference!

It never hurts to add a little extra volume at your wrists with a bell sleeve or over your shoulders in a  stunning cape. My favorites are bell sleeve tops paired with a-line skirts, and I’m itching to pick up this grey beauty from Banana Republic that looks simultaneously sophisticated and comfy… something that’s hard to do but so chic and dare I say just a little bit French!

Finally, I had to include that tassel miniskirt… because it’s just so great! The volume there is more visual, but still highly impactful. Make sure you pair your voluminous picks with something a little more form-fitted for a great balanced look.
