Let’s get real here – it’s HOT this summer. Like, really hot. When it gets this warm out, dressing for work can be a nightmare. Pants and blazers are nearly out of the question, and only certain fabrics really work… After much personal experimentation, I bring you a solution to that problem: 20 items under $100, wearable during the hottest and most humid days.
Skirts and dresses are your best friend, as are work-appropriate shorts (unless your work environment is very corporate, in which case, save those for casual Fridays). Loose cotton shirt dresses, button down short-sleeve blouses, and even pretty silk tops are breathable enough to keep you cooler and drier.
My personal favorite is this Everlane LBD and some fun silver heels that transition seamlessly from 9-5 to 5-9. Gotta love the transitional power of a great pair of shoes!
