Happy Friday! Today’s outfit is a bit fitting as I am heading to the Kate Spade presentation a little later today and they sent me this outfit to wear to it. You might know by now that I love a good fit and flare dress and this one is SO fun. The back is just everything, with the three dimensional flowers. If you have a party coming up, this is your dress! I paired it with this (amazing!!) matryoshka doll clutch and fun leopard heels for a look that manages to feel classic + whimsical and fun all at once. That’s what I love about Kate Spade. Their pieces are generally pretty timeless, but there is always an element of fun in there.

I hope you guys are having a good one. This has been a busy one over here, juggling presentations and shows and parties with getting regular old work done.       I know, it is pricey! If it’s any consolation, it’s actually solid wood so pretty substantial. I love the dolls too.. collected ’em as a kid and the clutch makes me miss them! Hope you have a great weekend, Cathleen!!!

    Love that dress! Do you have any tips for combining patterns? I would have never thought to do a floral and an animal print together, but it looks great. Do I just need to be more daring?

      I think you just need to be a little more daring!

      Personally I view stripes and leopard as neutral – both will mix nicely with each other and/or other patterns (think florals, polka dots, etc.) I think it also helps to keep the scale small, or to wear one larger print with a smaller print. Honestly, I just throw things on and see how they look together!
