A few things. One. Monday. Oof – how is it already here? Two. Did you read that piece on The Cut, titled “How to Get Your Body Ready for Caftan Season?” You should. It had me in stitches. Also, it is a pretty good description of what Hallie, Jess, and I got up to this weekend at Hilton Head. All of the foods. And zero regrets.
And three. Coverups and caftans. A good coverup is important. I typically stick to looser silhouettes (to hide the fried seafood and/or lobster roll I’ve probably eaten) and shorter silhouettes (to show a little leg.) And when I saw this Kate Spade coverup (and the big bow at the neck), I wanted it very badly. (And the matching bikini, and the matching sandals. Oops.) Because matching is so awesome, if you ask me. Sometimes I just want to dress like a crazy old lady. All of the flamingos, all of the animal motifs, fruit shaped clutches, crazy cat eye sunnies… yesssss! Style should be about looking your best, but also feeling your best… and having a little fun! There’s nothing wrong with being just a little bit eccentric from time to time.
This post isn’t sponsored, or even gifted… I just really liked the flamingos!
