This was one of those dresses where I kinda cringed when I bought it (as it’s just so typical of me, I have so many little floral dresses). I’ve been trying to buy more separates, and more casual and/or edgy pieces to give the feminine stuff I already own a twist. Alas, I saw this Joie dress and couldn’t resist it, but I no longer feel badly about it as I’ve been wearing it non-stop. I actually wore it twice this weekend. First to a fashion week party with wedge booties and a red bandana around my neck, and then to a bridal shower the next day with my Valentino Rockstud flats. Hey. I guess sometimes we have to just stick to what we know and love. I can’t wait to wear it with a black leather jacket, tights, and my over-the-knee boots once the weather cools off.
I hope you guys had a good weekend. I had a bunch of dinners and fashion week stuff, and that baby shower in New Jersey. It was fun to have a little family time in the middle of all that craziness! 😉
PS – based upon your feedback on the dating outfits + last week’s Q&A, I’m going to try to remember to add a “Look for Less” section to every outfit post. I hope it’s helpful!
Outfit Details: Vince Leather Scuba Jacket (mine is five years old but this might be the exact same jacket, on sale… and this is very similar, in suede) // Joie Tahoma Dress (also available here, here, here, + here) // Vince Platform Sneakers // Vintage Chanel Purse // Kendra Scott Necklace (c/o)
Look for Less: Jacket (so cute, I actually have this one too from a project I did with Kohls) // Dress // Bag // Sneakers

LOVING this dress. You will get so much wear out of it in all seasons. Will look really cute with booties and then tights in the fall!

SO cute! I totally hear you about trying to buy separates and then just getting a dress you love anyway! Have a great day ahead, lady!
Work in progress… c’est la vie!
Been loving your outfits lately 🙂 I love seeing you wear those shoes after The Trunk Club and the jacket and dress combo is perfect. Quirky pop of red with the bag!
