Okay. Before we talk about the weekend, we need to talk clothes. This sweater is the greatest. I love that it’s reversible so you can wear the deep v in front or back. We shot it both ways (that was fun, let me tell you… awkwardly changing in the street!) so that you can see it both ways. I can’t decide which way I like better. I love the blush color and the fabric is surprisingly fleecy… almost like a sweatshirt. And it’s on sale today (though let’s be honest, J.Crew is always having sale these days!)
The other thing is my new baby. I knew that my next bag needed to be blue and I had thought it would be royal blue and then I saw this one and I just fell in love. I love the shape and size (it’s big enough to fit a book, but it’s still very sleek and streamlined and tucks nicely under my arm. I also love that it’s well-made and beautiful but not overly branded/recognizable… I don’t know anyone else who has one of their bags yet which I like. If you’re looking for your next investment bag, I can’t say enough about Wandler… I’ve had mine for about two weeks and love it more and more every day. The powder blue is perfect for winter but will transition really nicely to Spring, I think.
Okay, let’s talk about the weekend! My girlfriends and I went to Premier57 on Saturday and I have to tell you, I loved it!
Premier57 is this giant day spa taking up several floors on East 57th street. It’s such a fun thing to do for a girl’s day or a birthday (we went for my friend’s 39th bday.) There’s a hot tub/pool area (with a bar) with tons of massage jets so you can chill out with wine… and then on the other floor there are all these different saunas and rooms. There was an infrared sauna, a gold sauna (no clue what benefit that has but it was cool), a chromotherapy room, a salt cave room, an ice room to cool off in between, and a bunch of other things. Oh and a steam room, too. I probably forgot about something but it was fun. There’s also a restaurant (you’ll get hungry!), and you can book private treatments.
I went in with a few hesitations… (I am a little bit of a snob, a little bit of a prude when it comes to public nudity, and a little bit germ-phobic… so I wasn’t sure I’d like it.) I loved it though and left so relaxed… sleeping like a baby on Saturday night. Also, over the course of the (almost 4 hours) that we were there, I had a glass and a half of wine and I was definitely a little tipsy… and had a headache when I woke up yesterday morning. Haha… I’ve become such a lightweight (which I’m totally good with – less money and less calories!)
If you’re looking for a fun group activity to do with your girlfriends, I would definitely recommend it! It’s $75 per person but they run deals all the time!
My Sunday was boring. I got up, went to yoga, and spent the rest of the day working. (With football on in the background, haha!)
