How to Mix Pastels.

Mixing pastels can be tricky, but when done right, is so pretty. I love wearing pale yellow and cornflower blue together… but I also love yellow and mint, yellow and pale pink, and lilac with pale pink.

The key to getting it right is to have an anchor neutral to keep the rest of the look feeling simple and streamlined. In this case, I went with camel… pairing my colorful basics with a leather jacket + platform heels in the same hue. It’s also smart to keep your jewelry/accessories simple (and in the same metal family)… I went with this necklace + these earrings.. they both incorporate Charleston Rice Beads, so the texture + metal are both uniform.
