How to Make the Perfect Negroni.

In my opinion every girl (or guy!) should have a signature cocktail. Something you can easily whip up to impress your friends when you have company over. Wine and beer are great of course, but it just feels a bit more special to be able to offer friends a cocktail. My favorite cocktail to make is a negroni. It’s bitter, it’s sweet… it’s strong… it’s delicious! It’s also very hard to mess up. With just three ingredients (equal parts gin, campari, sweet vermouth) it is definitely a staple in my cocktail arsenal. I always make sure to have all three ingredients on my cocktail bar.

Watch the video below and for bonus points, keep your glasses in the freezer and use a giant ice cube mold! Also! If you want to make it a spritz (a little less boozy) you can add a couple ounces of soda water.

How To Make The Perfect Negroni

What you need: Campari // Sweet Vermouth // Gin // Pink Glass // Giant Ice Cube Mold

Step One

Freeze your glasses for an hour or two before friends are arriving!

Step Two

Add ice cubes to your shaker or mixing glass.

Step Three

Add your alcohol – one part gin, one part campari, one part sweet vermouth.

Step Four

Chill! Stir! Let it cool, ideally for a few minutes. Stir again!

Step Five

Strain into a glass (ideally a rocks glass!) and garnish with an orange peel.

Step Six

Enjoy. Wasn’t that easy?

I love negronis, but I made mine with Aperol so it’s less bitter, and Uncle Val’s botanical gin. Its the best gin!

  5. The second photo is really nice. I like the orange color. We have about 4 hotels in Manhattan. Maybe one day you can stay for a visit ✿

My favorite cocktail!! As you mention, they’re super strong, so I only have them once in a while. That said, love the idea of having the fixings around for company 🙂
